I don't know about technicalities, or tastes or artistic style. This game's graphics just ROCK! and I don't mean they look good (stills or in action) this is just INSANE!

That's like saying if books are art it's because of the pictures on the occasional page.

The art in games are in it's unique and defining characteristic.  The gameplay and interaction between your avatar and the world.

Dear god... Why so negative about all things PS3 ?

Yet CGI blockbusters aren't exactly on the forefront of movies as art.

How is that a negative about all things PS3?

It's a general fact about art appreciation.   I'm sure the god of war pictures look great... but that doesn't make it art.

Just how pixar animations aren't art.  It's the stuff BEHIND the movies that decide whether a game is art or not, in the inherent qualities only movies can provide.

The same is true of gaming.  Visuals, story... when videogames are recognized as art... these will take a backseat to gameplay and setting.
