exclusives. Right now I am playing the Metroid Prime Trilogy and loving Metroid Prime. Reminds me of how great that game is.

Nintendo, really. Theirs are the only consoles for me.

Most of the above for me. I was excited about the VC, hoping to get games that I missed the first time around. (Unfortunately, many still aren't materializing.) Brand loyalty also plays in, as I have some iteration of every system Nintendo has launched since the NES. And the motion controls were a plus, I saw that Nintendo could do different controls well on the DS, and so the concept of the Wii intrigued me. Then, of course, we have the games. Put all this together, and yeah, we had to have one.

Zelda and Metroid, no other reason. If Metroid Prime 3, Twilight Princess, Other M and Zelda Wii were the only games released on Wii i would still buy it at launch
