Before the Wii.. the last two consoles I owned were the Super NES and Sega Genesis.. the motion controls were just too amazingly fun.

While I preorded and picked one up launch day because of the games, I liked those games because of the possibility of motion controls.

They were so new and interesting and even though I barely touch my Wii anymore (though I'll be starting Silent Hill: Shattered Memories soonish), I'm still very happy with it.

Well main reason was of course brand loyalty haha. But a mix of a lot of things. Nintendo games that will only be on the system, curiosity about motion controls, Virtual Console, and just the ability to have some new experiences. Eventually became my main system (of course was only one) and after 360 and PS3 it has split time between the 360 of about 50/50. But yea so probably all of the above.
