Forums - Microsoft - FireBird Studios Effects obvious in 2010!

There was a thread put here for us lucky 360 fans 5 days ago, about the studio M$ put together called FireBird Studios. They were put there to work purely on 360 graphics for games. Help temas get better performance out of the 360 etc.

I believe we are seeing the first fruits of this starting with 2010.

Lets look. We know Alan Wake was finished just after E3 last year. Remedy said tyey are just polishing it. 9 months of polishing? Personally Firebird have been there helping without a doubt. Same with Splinter Cell Conviction. Was gonna release last year. Then Feb now April? This to will be for Firebird to perfect the technicals of the graphics with Ubisoft. Fable 3 is also looking amazing, as is the actual engine for Halo Reach. That engine is asking so much from the 360, much improved graphics include more polys foreverything. Extra effects. New vistas. double enemy count of Halo 3.

The thing is Fable 3 for instance looks ALOT better than 2. Reach looks and performs 3 times Halo 3. Alan Wake makes Gears 2 look like a release game and Splinter Cell Convictions animations are to real?

This year is truly the fruits of proper 360 exclusive developing. Great to see M$ finally putting in some resources to take advantage of the 360.

Around the Network

About time MS did this.
Witht the new dev kits and software MS has provided and this studio we might finally be able to see what the 360 is capable of.

I have to agree, in all honesty when it comes to Xbox 360 games graphics are the last thing I look forward (that said I don't own FOrza 3, ME2)

Halo Reach, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell and Fable III all look truly amazing ...
