Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 Bundle Confirmed!!!

Pretty sure people in NA got screwed because of this bundle in terms of getting a L.E. or C.E.

Well, in some stores with the pre order you can get the face plate (wich is pretty cool). But the reason is probably this, they probably want to mass distribute this bundle, and the printing was probably not affordable.

And i must say, a lot of retailers have this bundle in europe (the two packs).

I would think the same if the C.E in Europe wasn't so f*cking crap and expensive.

I don't get it. Thinkin about buying the L.E. Strategy guide if they don't announce it. Need something to spend my money on.

C.E= Collector Edittion right? Did you see the price tag and the content for it in Europe? Not worth a buy. imo.

Bayonetta C.E was about the same and its price was about 25 euros less.

Like the bundle talk, the same could be said to the C.E. Western C.E for this game sucks in comparison to the japanese one.

Yeah or L.E. I just wanted one. :/

I will just buy the faceplate.

February 11, 2010 - A new Final Fantasy XIII-themed Xbox 360 bundle appears to be headed to North American shores.

listing found on Microsoft's 'Expertzone' retailer website displays the new bundle, complete with package shots and details. The bundle is said to include a limited edition console, two wireless controllers, a 250GB harddrive, AV and network cables, a headset, and a copy of the game, of course. No release date was given, but it looks like it will cost $399.

Square-Enix did release a special edition PlayStation 3 bundle, but it was limited to only Japan.

We contacted Square-Enix for comment and will provide an update when we hear back.

Update: Microsoft has confirmed the bundle, saying it will be available on March 9 in limited quantities. Special faceplates will also be available. Official word below:

The Xbox 360 "FINAL FANTASY XIII" Special Edition Bundle includes a 250GB hard drive, two wireless controllers, exclusive downloadable avatar items and a standard-edition copy of the dramatic sequel in the multimillion-selling series. Xbox 360 is the only console outside of Japan to be bundled with the game, available in stores starting March 9, while supplies last. In addition, a very limited number of "FINAL FANTASY XIII" Limited Edition Faceplates have been created by designer Tetsuya Nomura. These faceplates are only available promotionally in fixed quantities across select retailers in Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand

I've got a feeling this bundle is a rip-off but I might be wrong:

Arcade(controller included): $199.99

Controller: $49.99

Game: $59.99

HDD: A PS3 400GB HDD is worth 80$ so a $250 HDD must be cheaper.

And it doesn't have the faceplate...I don't think the avatars are worth the price.

If it's a bundle, it should be more cheap...$299 looks better.

Sorry for bad English.

That faceplate is horrible too. Would rather just import the Japanese PS3. Lol.

What are you smoking? A 120 gb Elite is $299...how on earth do you figure that a 250 gb is going to be under that price?
