I think Golden Sun 3 will sell better, DS has a larger RPG fanbase than GBA had.

Ninokuni's going to be HUGE. Bigger than anything from Level-5 yet (bar DQ8/9). Yes, Ghibli is that much of a draw.
I think GSDS is going to undersell the GBA ones honestly, mainly because the previous games benefitted from coming out so early in the cycle with so much less competition. It'll do amazingly well in the west though.
Golden Sun DS makes this list perfect for me.

you think Golden sun is only going to 200k? The other games sold about 1.5 million and you think the next game is only going to do .2? That is quite the undersell don't you think?

In Japan. GS1 sold ~350k and GS2 sold ~250k. And that was within GBA's 1st 18 months, with no serious competition.
I've read somewhere, though I have no direct citation, the release date for Dragon Quest IX will be December 31st, 2010.
Just in time for the new year....and only two years late!

Frankly, I consider this year to be the second grand year for DS RPGs. And just yet another reason I consider DS to be the king of RPGs. Just the Dragon Quest games alone are reason enough for me to crown this year perfect for the DS. Hopefully most of these games will make it to the US. Heck, hopefully one Dragon Quest games will finally make it to the US this year....
Also, like jarrod said, if Ninokuni doesn't sell over 1.5-2 million in Japan, I'd be VERY surprised. Level-5 + Miyazaki + RPG...yeah. It should be bigger than Jesus, litterally.
