Software cost too much compared to the price of a console. What are people going to think when they see a Wii and X360 (arcade) for sale at $150 and their games priced at $60, 1/3 the price of the console they just purchased?
lol I find it funny that Activision is saying there needs to be a console price drop yet their the ones who keep raising prices on their games!!
O BOY THE IRONY!!!
I dislike Activision even more now
I absolutely hate Activision (and I love Blizzard). This kind of mindset is what is wrong with the world. If you want US to make more money, you have to do something (for Act to make more profit, sony/nintendo/MS need to drop THEIR price?). They refuse to take any responsibility for their own actions.
I hope you burn in hell Activision, and distance yourself from Blizzard before you take your fall from grace.
you gotta be f#$%ing kidding me...they actually have the audacity to say all that crap while overcharging consumers for their overrated shooters and plastic drums.
Any gamer will tell you that software prices are the problem this gen since both HD hardware have reached a very affordable price point.
Did Activision ever think that maybe their problems isn't the fact that consoles are too expensive, but the answer is that they haven't been able to meet the interests of the videogame market and return a profit? Nah, might as well blame the console makers for the fact that Activision can't get its house in order.
I have doubts that Activision would make a profit if videogame consoles were free. And it is a bit odd the Blizzard, which has nothing to do with video game consoles believes there is greater need for cheaper consoles. They make games for cost ineffective devices... that being PCs.

Come now, how dare you make such a wrong statement!
It's $50 :P
Why do I care what Blizzard thinks about consoles? This is just the same as Insomniac saying Natal will fail. Why do I care what people who don't develop for platforms think about them? Release a game on one, and then I might actually give a crap what you think about them.
EDIT: And try reading the article people, it was Blizzard, not Activision. *facepalm*
