My favorite final fantasy is FF9.

I played a game this gen that did this. It was The Last Remnant. The games difficulty was really high. So it was actually helpful and I never once felt that the game was too easy. So as long as the difficulty level is decent, then that shouldn't be an issue either.

I know and I played hard games with this system too but I don't like it, I am a traditional RPG gamer. I prefer to buy potions, use potions cautiously, die if there is no time to find a place to heal my characters (because it was my mistake, I had to buy more potions or make my characters stronger) etc.

I don't like when the basics are changed, I prefer when they keep the basic (improving in some way).
