Forums - Gaming Discussion - 10 video game series that always deliver

Lewis, I'd say you hit every Franchise I could think of. I don't know enough about FF to name it but judging from the comments on FF7 versus 8, then 10, eleven and 12 I wouldn't really be sure about the franchise either.

Mayne the Total War series? I don't believe they have hit a low note yet but strategy is easily overlooked. Command and Conquer in that same vein?

GTA stands above most of these games.

This. I felt something big was missing.

Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid

Two best series of games on the planet imo. Never played a bad game in either series.

Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 - all quality games at the time of release.

three entries bro

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

Of the games listed, I'd have to totally agree with Grand Theft Auto (even four was good), and Resident Evil. The core games in those series never let me down. Half Life is a no-brainer.......whenever part 3 appears.

It's interesting how so many great series wind up stumbling at some point.

Never played a Fire Emblem?

That's all right

Neither has anybody else

Other than some already mentioned, I'd say Civilization, Disgaea and Warcraft. I'm sure I could think of some more, those just immediately came to mind after reading through the thread.
