Forums - Microsoft Discussion - i just rented mass effect 2

You would have been better off buying it. RPG's are the worst type of game to rent since they take so long to beat and have many extra side quest that will add on to your gameplay time. If you are interested in an RPG you should just buy it. PS: Mass Effect is only 20 dollars now if you want a sense of ownership when playing the game.

yea one of the reason i prefer to rent is because 60 dollars is a lot and i could get a lot of gas milage out of it or food espeically tatottots, i'm going to try my best to beat this game in under a 4 days,

Around the Network

In the default you don't save the council, in my saved game I did. Other differences include being a Specter or not, but really these are minor details in the main ME2 story which by in large stays the same regardless. Using the saved game from ME2 to ME3 should make a much more of a difference.

Nah, not worth it, the network just delivers dlc and you wouldn't get preorder armors anyway. Normandy Crash is a half hour down memory lane. Zaaed is ok but pretty dark. Samara, Thane and Jack are amazing. Just fill in who lived and died in ME1 and proceed. You'll catch up some of the bonuses. Play veteran max. A scratch character on hardcore could get ugly. JMO. Enjoy.

I don't know about ME2 (I own it but I haven't gotten to it yet) but I'm replaying ME1. I've made a couple of decisions differently, this time around. I've sided with people I didn't side with before and I'm playing a little bit shadier, this time around. I can honestly say that it's a very different game, this time around. Mys options for choices are different and the missions I get are also different. I suspect that, if my decisions carry over into ME2, it's going to be a different game than without.

My only regret is that I'm playing as female Shephard instead of male Shephard.
