Ok couple of things: The battle system looks....interesting, but the bad animations, bland environments really annoy me
it's over now, yeah, it's also kinda too quiet for me, i'm too used to annoying little japanese girls screaming during combat, we'll see if it even makes it to the states.

Agreed, fact is traditional jRPG fan are a minority so you cant base yourself on an average rating. A good example is Suikoden 5, with is outdated graphics and turn base battle system some reviewers out there gave it in the 50s and 60s. While in my opinion and a lot of others its one of the best jRPGS in the past few years.
