Which is the better RPG series? Tales or Final Fantasy?

I've played more Final Fantasy games than Tales games, and have played some great Final Fantasy games and some bad ones, While I have never played a bad Tales game! I'll take the Tales series, as the battle systems are just more fun!!

Well, I've barely played them and my experience is mostly with the battle system. The battle system is damn fun in Tales. More than FF.

Before I vote, currently, or historically? I'd say that Tales has been more consistantly good, but none of them have the wow factor that the SNES FFs have. But the current (read: FF7 and onward) are much worse than the Tales franchise...
