So I take it you played all three games? And the last part of your comment is laughable. Ever thought that maybe the reviewer is fluent in Japanese and didn't want to wait to play localized version? There's no difference between both versions other than the main theme.

As for your other comment, this is what PSM3 UK gave some recent RPGs (taken from Metacritic):

Final Fantasy XII - 94
Valkyria Chronicles - 85
Eternal Sonata - 84
Demon's Souls - 88
Persona 3 FES & 4 - 90

 

It feels the anti-jrpg sentiment is very recent, in light of Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2. Demon's Souls is very un-jrpg for a jrpg, so it's review score should be irrelevant to the discussion.

I don't get why are so many people bashing this review. It's just a score, I rather much read what they have to say in the review. FFXIII was bound to get some average reviews in the long run, pretty much every FF game does, but it will also get some very good positive feedback.

People just need to accept both scenarios and remember that in the end, it's just a matter of opinion.

I completed Dante's Inferno is less then 4 hours earlier today and got the last of my achievements. Returning tomorrow, not worth the £40 I spent on it.
