Looks like Jrpg as a genre is at a point where it is no longer relevant in the west. ITs time for it to evolve in to something else (MMO's maybe?) or go in to niche territory. Their current state actually reminds me of 2D fighters/sidescrolers and where they were in the late 90s. Getting medicore reviews and having a hardcore following and nothing more...

MW2 is at a 94 on metacritic. and Dantes Inferno gets an 80 but is proven to be less than 6 hours long? Bull shit

So I take it you played all three games? And the last part of your comment is laughable. Ever thought that maybe the reviewer is fluent in Japanese and didn't want to wait to play localized version? There's no difference between both versions other than the main theme.
