I know nothing about computers; what I do know is you can get a 360 elite or PS3 for just $300, less then half the price of what you're going to spend on your PC.

You also have to spend 10$+ more on each game, 50$/year for online in the case of Live, and all the other overpriced accessory shit you have to deal with for the 360 in general.  PC gaming costs a bit more to get in to, but then, in the long run it is actually cheaper.

And after that, you're locked in to what is already obsolete tech, which will have no options for upgrading over the next few years at all.

And moreover, you can get a lot more out of games from a PC with a ~100$ video card than a PS360 for 300$, so if you're buying a new computer anyhow, it's actually shittons cheaper to build a gaming PC - a, say, 650$ PC is cheaper than a 550$ PC and a 300$ SD Twin.

If you're planning on using your PC for gaming, what resolution are you running at?

As for component recommendations, switch out the ugly-ass LED case (with two 80mm cooling fans and nothing else... oh my) with a Cooler Master Centurion 5, the mobo for a nicer one from Gigabyte, the X4 620 for an X3 435 (seriously - despite being cheaper, the 435 kicks the 620's butt in most cases, including gaming), and you're good to go. Normally I'd suggest a nicer PSU too, but you seem to be on a tight budget and an Antec PSU won't kill you.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
