it must be Tversity that has some kind of problem because with Ps3 media server i can stream full HD (1080p) video trough my network with no problem or loss image quality... beside PS3 has a gigabit ethernet card while Xbox360 only a 100 megabit card, this means Ps3 can deal with a larger bandwidth video stream, but i doubt you have such a video that fill up even the xbox360 bandwidth...

I use my pS3 as a media server also with PS3 Media Server, and it's flawless. Much better than anything a 360 can do media-wise. I suggest trying that instead of a crappy program like Tversity.

just tried PS3 Media Server and got some interesting results.
PS3 Media Server can stream 1080p videos without any problems on the ps3. The Xbox360 can´t handle it (video pauses/stops the whole time).

The funny thing is, PS3 Media Server can also stream to the Xbox360 and the image quality on non hd movies is still much better on the Xbox360. I tried all the settings and used many guides, without any luck. So currently I have to decide between a noisy Xbox360 with a perfect picture or a calm PS3 with much less image quality (for non hd movies).

P.S. I miss XBMC so much!

You have a setting off if your PS3 isn't showing crystal clear HD1080p.  I Can't tell the difference between BluRay from HD movies on my PC
