Duck Hunt easily. They already brought out the Wii Zapper and saw even third party games do well with it so I don't know why they haven't.

this really shows the power of rumour. before matt mentioned anything about kid icarus, nobody wanted another game, it was a very small franchise that few really cared for. Now suddenly kid icarus is everywhere, from people demanding a sequel to predictions of a sequel at E3 to claims that nintendo is abandoning the core by not making it.

Whats also weird is that even though no details have ever been given, everyone has the same image of what the sequel would be, zelda TP with wings

tough decision because there are a lot of good choices

out of the ones that you listed I would have to say Kid Icarus and Star Tropics are tied for me

but I would really like to see Faxanadu revived....it's one of my favorite NES games

And I still regulate it as just a internet rumor mostly kept alive by 'insider info' like IGN (which no one calls IGNs bluff on even after 2 years of no game announcement and Nintendo discrediting it).

Frankly, the whole rumor got started just because Kid Icarus was in Brawl.  And as of yet, there's been no game made simply because a character appeared in Smash Bros.  There's been remakes of games (Fire Emblem) and games that were brought over to America after they were in Smash Bros (again Fire Emblem), but never a whole game made just because a character appeared in Smash Bros.  That's not how it works.  Characters are used in Smash Bros because they first apperared in other games.
