What is this backlash you speak of? As in the game awesomeness making everything else seem inferior? I concur...

A lot of reviewers bashed Dante's for ripping off God of War, yes... but a few may have found it inferior to Bayo, ydont ya think ?

Couldn't agree more. To be honest, before Bayonetta I think i'd welcome this game as another weekend rental or something but afterwards there really is no room for God of War rip offs. Especially when the real thing is a month away...

Funny really. Other than complaining about it aping GoW the review reads like it's a reasonable sort of game. Seems they docked it at least 1.5 points for copying a great game too much. Really it's GoW for the XBox 360. Xbox 360 owners should appreciate what EA and Visceral have done here. Probably should have been exclusive to the 360 then it would have won praise for bringing a game similar to GoW III (at 60fps) to the Microsoft console.

So basically if you like God of War gameplay, then you are quite likely to like this game.

Actually the demo made me mad because no dev should copy another's work down to the T and get away with it...

This is what happened to me when I played the demo..

Even if we ignore the whole creative integrity argument and pretend that Visceral didn't completely rip off someone elses gameplay ideas and style for profit...Why would 360 owners want a half baked god of war 3 clone when Darksiders and Bayonetta are available?
