Gears gameplay is utter trash. I found myself getting so bored in that game i ran through most of it just chainsawing shit.

You didn't get very far in the game then did you?  Or maybe you played on "easy" mode?

co-oped on the hardest difficulty for my friends achievement and he was getting pissed at me because I just kept running in so he had to get to me.

A single shot lowers the chainsaw but in hardcore mode you were able to run through the entire game and not get hit so you could chainsaw everyone?

How did you handle the boomers?  Or the Kantus?  The tickers??

Come'on dude, you didn't like the game, that is absolutely your opinion, and reasonable; you should try to make your insults to a game be SOMEWHAT believable though.


im sorry... did I say I used the chain saw the entire game? I don't think its me being unbelieveable as much as its you reading words that arent on your screen

Ive never played Uncharted 2 but played Gears 2 for quite a bit before it annoyed me to the point that Ive stopped playing it. The campaign is good by online just gets on my nerves. Any game where a shotgun is more effective and popular in medium/long range combat has serious problems.

So here's the situation, multiple enemies in gears (Boomers, Brumaks, Corpsers and Kantus) are all but immune to the chainsaw.  TIckers, on hardcore mode or "the hardest difficulty", which is INSANE, down you when they explode, and they explode when chainsawed.  They almost all appear early on in the campaign and are fairly common enemies.  Additionally a single shot lowers the chainsaw, and two shots from any enemy on "Insane" kills you. 

So instead of hiding behind semantics; did you or did you not, play most of the game chainsawing? 

We both know the answer.

This is easy and no contest, Gears 2 for me. Uncharted 2 is a fun ride the first time you play, but I could never play it again without losing interest. I have played the Gears 2 campaign several times, and cop-op+Horde is just something Uncharted 2 can't touch.

Technically I think Uncharted 2 has better graphics, but I much prefer the gritty look of Gears 2 and I like the gore+blood more then the clean-cut shiny look of Uncharted 2.

You can't really compare the gameplay either. Gears is an action packed shooter, while Uncharted still doesn't know if it wants to be "Tomb Raider with a cover system" or "Kill Switch with Indiana Jones". Anyone that thinks the cover system in Uncharted is better than the one in Gears 2, just hasn't really played Gears 2 long enough.

People have made an art form out of "wallbouncing" in Gears 2, the cover-canceling and sliding is far smoother than what Uncharted 2 brings to the table.

MP is harder. Gears 2 had a broken online for a long time, while the MP in Uncharted works right. Even with all the lag and glitches I prefer Gears 2, I just find it so much more intense. If Uncharted had online issues I wouldn't touch it. Gears 2 even with all the problems I stuck with it, its' that good.

The answer is yes. But if insane needs to be unlocked or something it may have been the one below that.

Gears 2. Better multi and better single player. ( Coop baby ! )

Uncharted's story is cliche indy stuff. Thats why Tomb Raiders stories sucked. But as an action singfle player game Uncharted rocked. Has to be Gears 2 though without a doubt.
