Bought my PS3 last year June, 80GB. Still lives.

Bought an 80Gb one in June last year, it died in October. I don't actually know what the problem was other than it was some kind of red screen of death...

The refurb is going fine.... so far.

the ps3 does not have a red screen of death problem, it can get YLOD or Bluray-drive problems.

Edit: also very very rare:- i have heard problems with the Gfx card, but you do not get a red screen, you get messed up graphics

it's the future of handheld

Look, whenever I turned it on, I was greeted with a red screen which said 'a serious error has occured, contact tech support' in every language imaginable.

There was no YLOD, there was no Blu-Ray problem...

Tech support told me nothing other than there was nothing they could do and it would have to be replaced.

Here we go, I just found an image of it on google.

weird lol, first time for everything lol, but that just warns you there is a problem, like you said it doesn't tell you what it is, but it could be anything, sorry lol
