Forums - General Discussion - Cat on LSD completely possesed

Even when the people were given acid, they could still walk around or at least sit up in most cases

What I'm saying is this: Everyday thousand of chickens, cows and other animals are slaughtered for nothing more than consumption. But give a cat acid in what once was semi-important drug testing then its crossed the line.

Plenty of ugly, uncuddly animals are used in drug and even cosmetic testing. But most people only throw a shit fit if its a cute and furryy cat. What makes tht animals life more vaulable than anothers animals, or better yet a humans?

I never said that animals were more important and I dont think that.

Also, if harming animals is ok, then why aren't you kicking neighborhood dogs right now?

Maybe I'm crazy but...

What if the cat consented to this? Cats are notorious drug fiends. Who's to say if the cat could talk, that he would have wanted another hit?

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Hahahah, seriously?

If someone told me kicking the shit out of any dog I see will save, or in some way better the lives of other humans, I'd do it. But thats not likely to happen.

But again why get up in arms over a cat being given LSD, a drug that didn't kill it and a worst gave it a bad little trip, when plenty of other animals live short, miserable lives before being killed?

We need animals for useful things like meat, leather, etc.  What good did this lsd test bring?  Do you really think that there will be a useful therapy involving lsd?  I doubt that.

You are crazy.

Well, unless you've actually figured out a reliable way to communicate with cats and obtain their consent. Then I'll call you a genius and ask you to teach me how, cat whisperer.

Well, given their interest in catnip which is an addictive substance for them, I wonder why LSD would be much different.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Should have picked an old cat or something, not a cute one like that.

that cat was certainly tripping out,

i wonder what he was seeing, cats are very sensitive

That pisses me off SOOOOOOOO much. They can test that on a human not a defenseless animal. Like twesterm said It makes want to knock somebody flat on their ass.

So testing it on a sentient being, with understandable emotions and feelings is better than an animal incapable of any kind of recognizable intelligence? Just because its cute?

Thats something I can back.

One thing is killing animal because of your needs. Even animals in the wild kill each other for survival, that's natural.

Another thing is testing a drug that you create and on cats for no reason. As a species, humans just don't have the moral right to do this.

this is even more disgusting than hunting for fun.
