..well then there is sometjing wrong with Sonys numbers ;/

Or tracking sales after Slim BOOM became harder and most inaccurate. Because this the tracking services may be a little confused.

After all it was a holiday hell.

Not possible for the very fact that in statistics you have something called an outlier, a value that is not near the general result but a lot higher or lower.

In this situation we have not had even one such outlier worth noting! And when you add the fact that GFK, Famitsu/mediacreate and NPD have greater resources than vgchartz and still only came with extremely similar numbers to our own then you begin to understand that this is not a normal situation.

Honestly, when Nintendo came up with those graphs from their financial statements they had accurate info on sell-through for all consoles in the US market. With their very specific and accurate sale tracking system it seems only natural that they're also looking at their competition, frankly they have to if they want to pull of conferences where they show exactly in which segments they are better.

And if those numbers are within what vgchartz has, than i honestly have doubts about Sonys financial papers. They simply make no sense.

If i lose access to this profile as well....I'm done with this site.....You've been warned!!.....whoever you are...

Happy Wii60 user. Me and my family are a perfect example of where hardcore meets casual and together mutate into something awesome.

Even if there were shortages it wouldn't particularly matter since a number of the consoles "shipped" haven't actually reached stores yet.

yahh there are 3 million PS3 on boats.

33.5 million shipped... about 31.7 million sold via Vgchartz numbers.

That's... 2 million at the most.  They wouldn't of shipped anything they hadn't received payment for first.

It takes about a month for shipments to get across the ocean as far as I know.

Hence why nintendo had to Airlift January supplies to the USA for December.

no, you dont get it.

33.2 by the end of december, we had around 30 about that time. way offffffff.

Not really.  Unless you think there is some giant conspiracy where all the worlds trackers are conspiring to bring down the PS3.

u still dont get it, you were comparing shipment of end of dec 33.5 to sold 31.7 now.

there was a 3 millions difference by the first week of january  not 2 like you think, and a month had pass and ps3 had 120gb in many places-

we are in february now.

Which is still irrelevent.  Because of the above.

Vgchartz numbers matches with all of the rest of the trackers in the world.  Unless there is a global conspiracy to downplay sonys numbers chances are there is still something hinkey about the way they report their numbers, lots were in shipment or they channel stuffed.

Or all three.

I AM OWED AN APOLOGY!!!!!

Vaio... youre one of the people I expect it from after that "Sony lost 1 billion in revenue" thread

From me for what? link to what i said that you want an appology for and u will get it if it´s warranted.

Since we are talking about old threads you still havent answered the one about offside wich you had no clue about so while you are at it go to work on that one too

Lol I know what offside is.

A player is not in an offside position if:

  • he is in his own half of the field of play
  • he is level with the second last opponent
  • he is level with the last two opponents

Like I said... it has everything to do with the defenders. Why respond when I know youre wrong?

Thats not what you said!

This is what you said:

letsdance said:

You cant be closer to the goal line then the closest defender unless the ball is passed the defender... yes it has everything to do with the ball and defender position

and that is wrong.

Vaio - "Bury me at Milanello"      R.I.P AC Milan

In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird.
Now the world is weird  and people take Prozac  to make it normal.

If laughing is the best medicine and marijuana makes you laugh

Is marijuana the best medicine?

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

“If any creator has not played Mario, then they’re probably not a good creator. That’s something I can say with 100 percent confidence. Mario is, for game creators, the development bible.

Sorry... but NPD, GFK, Famitsu, Media Create make mistakes too.

In Japan... Famitsu is always different from Media Create... and who is right? NPD always overtracked or undetracked some games because they don't cover the Walmart. Same for GFK.

All are estimates... and for me the VGC is always more accurate because don't follow the mistakes of the largest tracking services... but now the excuse is that the VGC is in line with these tracking services??? This makes no sense.

The only real numbers are released by Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft ... and now they want to say that those figures are wrong??

Again... It's hard to believe that there were more than 3 million PS3s on shelves at the end of December... and PSP more than 7 million??? It's impossible.
