The profit margins so proudly touted were because of Windows 7 and not the so called dominance of the 360. I can guarentee you that if you take out the Windows sales the companies profit margins are down.

It's Bruce... It should be taken with a grain of salt. His latest article talks about how the Wii is dead even though they still outsell the HD twins week after week.
Other than the "dominate" claim the only other claim I find to be overly ambitious is that probably 1/2 of 360 owners will have natal soon. By the time Natal comers out we will be talking 45+ million 360 install base, so we are talking 22.5+ million Natals being sold "pretty soon"? And saying 720 will be on shelves at the end of 2011 means that 22.5 million will be inside a year. That's not analysis, that's wishful thinking.
Analysts like this are setting up such high 360 expectations that the most likely outcome is disappointment among those who choose to buy into them. Personally I like modest expectations and a pleasant surprise when they are exceeded.

dominate eh?
I was the biggest 360 user on the block, but im rocking modern warfare 2 on ps3, and playin wii most of the rest of the time.
If mass effect 2 didnt come out I would not have even turned mine on this year . . .
id like to see ms become relevant to me again, but im not sure its gonna happen
Bruce has his own little world where the Wii is dead, the PS3 is a complete failiure and the Xbox is the second coming. He has carefully built up his own version of reality for some time. His blogposts are always about these same things, and to prove it true he references himself saying it over and over. It's quite beautiful to watch, really. It just has nothing to do with reality.

I love Bruce. I hope MS gives him some $ for all this nonsensical fanboy PR talk. He really deserves it. Plus, he's entertaining.
Please don't tell him PS3 crushes 360 in worldwide sales every week and 360 is dead last in those same weekly sales, even behind the "doooomed" PSP.

Haha I was thinking the same thing while I was reading. I mean when you expect to read an analysis and ge that, well it can only be a few people.
I mean really, this may be one of the weakest arguments ever.

If you actually thought about it for a second you would probably guess correctly.
Microsoft don't need mass adoption of the wirless or HD. So they can charge through the nose.
that 120 hard drive is almost as expensive as an Xbox 360 Arcade, so can't you see when Microsoft WANTS something to sell, they'l get the price as low as possible.
