I wasn't really pressed to try it in its original form but it looks like it got watered down *hard* now.

Really dislike the changes in art direction, also dislike the changes in the name and addition of fantasy characters in the roster. The new screenshots make the game look like a shovelware title. They should've stick to the old direction, afterall, it worked for Gladiator and 300 movies, so I don't know why it wouldn't work for this game.

They should've made a real gladiator fighter, with a career mode, where you fight your way up gaining honour and popularity.

IMHO this looks like a failure and another dissapointment from HVS. They badly need to change their art direction department. But lets judge when the game comes out.

Wow, Tournament of Legends. -_- I was really hoping for "The Gladiator". Cause it would match The Conduit, The Grinder with the "The"

Don't really like the new style either, specially the change of palette, but it did look better in motion, so that should still apply.

Also, has no M+ really been confirmed?

No M+ is a bummer. No online is a no purchase. The change in art direction is also a turn off, like joora said. HVS isnt that great when it comes to style, they should stick to realism.

The old, bloody style stood out. This doesn't exactly do that.

To sell you need a unique, standout style of genre.

This new style is bad... very bad... it looked so much better before, and it actually sounded interesting... bad move Sega, bad...

Hmm, this game is starting to look more interesting. Gotta keep my eye on this one. Roman themed fighting game complete with gladiators and minotaurs = AWESOME

Edit: Wow, what's with all the doom and gloom for this game all of a sudden? It sounds pretty cool to me. No online or motion plus is pretty lame though if that's true.. Maybe a rental for me, or I'll pick it up when it's in the bargin bin for 20 bucks..

If the combat is more like 3D fighting games (even with motions replacing some buttons presses), then the Motion+ would be redundant. Although that is an "if".

As for online, I'm gonna have to shrug that off, as long as there is local multiplayer.
