USA Today review of Madden 08 - Apparently they didn't fix the framerate issue.. 

"On the surface, the releases on 360 and PlayStation 3 look identical. However, when you stack them head-to-head, it's clear which is better. Madden on 360 is fast and fluid, thanks to a sharp jump in frame rate that allows the game to move twice as fast."

"PS3 owners, unfortunately, are greeted with a Madden that is sluggish in comparison. Action stutters far too often, particularly on injuries, penalties and turnovers. There's also a half-second delay between pressing the hike button and receiving the ball in your hands. Even close-ups between play look dull when lined up against the 360's sleeker cut scenes. "

IGN said the same thing. I mean if you have both systems it is a no brainer to get the 360 version but if you only have a ps3 what else can you do.

Yeah I also saw that review and the one on ign and they said the fps hurt the PS3 version so ign deducted a whole point off the review. I own a PS3 and a 360 but ill probably get the PS2 version because it's cheaper.

I'm still picking up the PS3 version tonight, even though I could get it for the 360.. Main reason why? I love the Sony controller. Also I have read reports from people that it wasn't a big issue and the difference was minor. NCAA08 for the 360 left a horrible taste in my mouth with how bad the slowdowns and stutters were in that, and there really could not have been anyway that a game could be worse then that.

If it's such a huge deal, PS3 players can always get the PS2 version.

Still don't think most people will care if it's 30 fps or 60...

This is the order according to the 1UP Sports podcast.

360>PS2>PS3>Wii>PSP>DS3

360: Looks good/60 fps/ plays good

PS2: 60 fps/plays good

PS3: Looks good/plays decent/30 fps

Wii: Plays casual/ not targetted at former Madden players but at casuals who think Madden is too complex
