Following the finale of Game of Thrones, author of A Song of Ice and Fire, George R.R. Martin posted on his blog about some of his other projects, including some involvement on a video game out of Japan.

Below is the quote from George R.R. Martin:

And me?  I’m still here, and I’m still busy.    As a producer, I’ve got five shows in development at HBO (some having nothing whatsoever to do with the world of Westeros), two at Hulu, one on the History Channel.   I’m involved with a number of feature projects, some based upon my own stories and books, some on material created by others.   There are these short films I am hoping to make, adaptations of classic stories by one of the most brilliant, quirky, and original writers our genre has ever produced.   I’ve consulted on a video game out of Japan.   And then there’s Meow Wolf…

While he doesn’t go into detail about the game, there’s been rumors surrounding the writer being involved on a new project from Dark Souls developer FromSoftware, rumors which were fueled by Spawn Wave on YouTube who said that the project in question is an open-world title by FromSoftware, with George R.R. Martin as one of its lead writers.

According a source by Gematsu who is familiar with the matter, the project, which is known internally as its acronym of “GR,” has been in development for three and a half years. The source also says that it is an open-world title that includes features such as horse-riding, and it is indeed a collaboration between FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin.

The project is also expected to be published by Bandai Namco and unveiled during Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference, but for now we’ll take it with a grain of salt until further information becomes available.

Damn, Bandai Namco hit the jackpot if this is true.

Damn, if it's Bamco, it's likely to be a bare-bones PC port, while asking for £55-60. I think I'm out, because I cannot trust bamco when it comes to their pricing and PC ports.

That's kinda weird. Both parties already know perfectly well how to kill off dozens of people without warning. What needs to be consulted here?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

It was announced some time ago that G.R.R. Martin was collaborating with Neil DeGrasse Tyson on a videogame.

I don't know if this is the game he is referring to or what is the status of said game but this news existed.

Also, Neil had G.R.R. Martin featured in a recent StarTalk episode where he interviewed Martin about A Song of Fire and Ice which at the very least seems to point out that they are still in contact to some extent.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:
