THQ Nordic teases E3 2019 announcements: ‘long-awaited return of galactically beloved game’ and ‘new vision of beloved game’

The "long-awaited return" is a remake.

THQ Nordic teased two unannounced games for E3 2019 in an e-mail sent to press booking appointments for the event.

Here are the details:

THQ Nordic at E3 – Unannounced Game #1

THQ Nordic is booking for an unannounced title that you will absolutely want to get in to see.

I can’t reveal what the title of this remake is, but it’s the long-awaited return of a galactically beloved game / franchise.

There is a hands-off demo available. No direct-feed recording, no off-screen camera recording, b-roll unedited, gameplay footage will be supplied.

THQ Nordic at E3 – Unannounced Game #2

THQ Nordic is booking for an unannounced title that you will definitely want to get in to see.

I can’t reveal what the title of the game is, but it is a new vision of a beloved game / franchise.

There is a hands-off demo available. No direct-feed recording, no off-screen camera recording, b-roll unedited, gameplay footage will be supplied.

THQ Nordic owns a large number of properties, but some of the more notable titles it has yet to make any announcements for include Destroy All Humans!, TimeSplitters, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and Alone in the Dark.

Thanks, GamingBolt.

One of them is Timesplitters.

Only if EA shits all over it.

Please be TimeSplitters! :D

Please be a new Kingdoms of Amalur.

I'd really kill for a proper decent stab at the IP, than the one it got and then died on.

I think we will see a new KoA, but not until early next-gen. THQ Nordic only bought the IP a year ago, and they said they can't remaster KoA: Reckoning because EA still owns Reckoning.

2nd one could be a new Saints Row. I forgot that THQ Nordic bought Deep Silver, and Volition and Saints Row along with them. The main team at Volition hasn't released a game since Gat out of Hell in 2015, Agents of Mayhem was developed by a B team at Volition, made up of primarily new hires that Volition used a tax credit from the city their studio is in to hire, but the main team that made Saints Row 4 and Gat out of Hell didn't work on Agents of Mayhem as far as I can tell, project leads were all different people. Their tease "a new vision for a beloved game franchise" matches with rumors of a Saints Row reboot as well.
