They are also offering premium Titan skins that you can only buy with real money, keeping the in-game credit system completely separated from DLC. From the link, "We will have no in-game currency exchange. No locked loot boxes, crafting shards or pay-to-win weaponry. No RNG. If you see something you like, you buy it and that’s it. These in no way effect stats and are purely cosmetic." What a breath of fresh air in a year dominated by titles like Battleborn, Uncharted, Call of Doody, Overwatch, Battlefield, Gears, and others swimming with premium DLC and microtransactions. There's more at the link, including stuff about double XP weekends, new playlists, etc.

This is really impressive work by respawn...it's a shame the game did not sell the way it should. I hope it continue having legs..all dlc free? shit, no one can complain...

Praise the One.

At least for the moment, EA is accepting that the franchise is basically back at square 1 and working to do it right this time.  I hope they stick to it.  Too often, EA has done the right thing only to go back on it before it has time to bear fruit.

It can easily pull a Rainbow Six, that game was dead in the water and saw a huge resurgence.

I don't think it's bad anyways, there are always 15-20k people when I log on it seems.

Also, this just reinforces how great it was that Respawn was able to work out a deal with the first game instead of taking money from EA and handing over the IP. If EA had any control over this game whatsoever then we'd be seeing day one weapon DLC, map DLC, Titan DLC, and all sorts of microtransactions.

Wow that was fast. I need to play it more often I've played the MP 2x in 2 weeks. I just can't pull myself away from BF1 though, so addicted.

Trailer for the DLC. Also, free MP trial starts tomorrow for Access subscribers, or Friday for everyone else. Apparently it's the full MP.

I have TF2, but I won't be playing it until I upgrade a few pieces of hardware, especially since their reco spec wants more than what I already have, and I do want to play it at max settings (the way it should be). Apart from that I've got BF1 keeping me busy until year. Still good on Respawn, though I wish they would toss in a few more maps in the future, a single map per DLC pack is going to be a bit tiny.

Not so sure on the Titan skins though, if they are priced properly, I might see myself buying a few.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Only 1 map?
