Forums - Gaming Discussion - PSVR: new this week

Added this week on the psn store (NA)

- Hyper void VR add-on (free) (Meta 70 for 2D version)
I never heard of this game before, looks like a standard space invaders type shooter. It's only CAD 10 (probably $7.50 in the US). It put a smile on my face after switching to vr mode. Especially the worm hole sections are awesome.

It translates perfectly into VR, playing to the strengths of the OLED screen.

- Super hyper cube demo (Meta 78)
This was omitted from the NA demo disc. Super hyper cube also plays right to the strengths of the OLED screen with bright neon glowing colors.

It's a simple concept, match shape to upcoming wall by rotating it in the right orientation. You kinda have to hang to the side the whole time to look around the object to see the upcoming wall. Demo was quite easy, looks good, could be fun, although not worth CAD 40 ($30) asking price imo.

- Carnival games (Meta 56 on Wii...)
A collection of 12 waggle mini games, not my thing. My kids like the promo video, but I won't spend CAD 27 ($20) on old waggle games.

Next week Robinson: The journey releases, looking good so far :)
It gets PS4 pro support, forcing my hand to get one early lol.

Meanwhile I'm getting further along in Tethered, excellent little strategy game.

Around the Network

Yeah Robinson is the big one next week. And as you said ps4 pro support!

Did you get far in Here they lie? I enjoyed the short demo but keep hearing the game isn't worth it.
I've been playing Tethered a lot, fun little rts game with about 8 hours of content. (13 islands, takes me about 35 minutes or more per island)

No not got far but so far it seems OK.  At first play I got motion sickness real bad but changed some settings so it played more like a fps. Will play more this weekend probably
