People think the name refers to how you can play the console.  But it's actually deeper than that.  The name switch to how Nintendo can change their marketing message depending on the region. 

So for the west:

'Nintendo Switch is a Home Gaming System First and Foremost'

But in Japan they will say: 

'Nintendo Switch is a Mobile Gaming System First and Foremost'

My last satire thread about the lack of outrage over no UHD Blu-ray player in the NX was shut down because nobody realised it was satire. Hopefully this one doesn't meet the same fate. Although it takes away from threads like these when you have to spell it out. I should just get Rol to post them instead. They'll get it then.
