Which one are you getting on Steam!?

Final Fantasy VI 6 40.00%

Final Fantasy XIII Lightning's Return 3 20.00%

Both 6 40.00%

Total:15

It's a shame the graphics were remade the way they were, but I'll still be getting it.

yeah. I will always support this masterpiece, even if I don't prefer the new sprites. This gives me hope for a steam release of Chrono Trigger, which I never ever thought would happen.

Hi

Ooo
ok so I played Final Fantasy 1 and 4 back to back and thought they were both amazing. Any reason to get the Steam version over the Virtual console versions?

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

Yep - SE is close to finishing the Final Fantasy mobile ports - the only ones left are Final Fantasy I, II and Tactics excluding the F2P games.

I can see them porting over the Dragon Quest games alongside Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger! Excited :D

wait, did Secret of Mana have an ios version? I would LOVE to see that game on Steam, too, even moreso than Chrono Trigger (CT is better, but I feel like SOM has been forgotten, and it deserves love too).

The DQ games would be great, too. It seems like they are porting their mobile versions over. If that means I will have another way to play DQ games, then yes please.

I dont mind the graphics but ya I'm getting both still

I played the SNES version 8 times, the PSX version once and the GBA version just recently - time for a somewhat new experience ;p!

Also double dipping on XIII LR especially since it consists of majority of the DLC.

Yeah, as much as I dislike XIII, I did play all the way through it, and had always intended to play the sequels.  I already have XIII-2 on steam, so I might as well complete the collection.

If only it was the original SNES version.

Specifically for which game are you talking about?

Final Fantasy 1 isnt on Steam - at least not yet.

Final Fantasy 4 on Steam is the 3D remake which originally was released on Nintendo DS and re-released on mobile. The Steam version consists of additional features that were added to the iOS/android version which were improvements from the Nintendo DS verion including the option to change difficulty, enhanced visual graphics, and 58 achievements. The 3D remake also introduces a remixed OST and a lot of new gameplay elements that were not on the SNES, PSX, PSP or GBA version but unfortunately does not consists of any of the post game dungeons from the PSP or GBA versions.

The sequel to Final Fantasy 4 - which is "Final Fantasy IV The After Years" is a 3D remake similar to the Final Fantasy IV 3D remake - compared to the Wii and PSP versions which were 2D.

As for Final Fantasy 6 itself - the Steam version is a port of the iOS/android version which introduces a new visual design compared to previous games but also includes the GBA version's post game dungeon which the SNES and PSX versions lacked. Also includes achievements as well.

Opps i meant Final Fantasy VI, I got FF 1 and 4 already.
My bad I was excited for this news XD

Anyway I might get both versions if I find that I love FF VI alot :P

Unless you like MP - which I did with a friend few years back then the SNES ver xD

Eh, I'm kinda a fanboy for the SNES, tbh.

Me too.

The only FF games I have on Steam right now are both 7 and 8.

Will get 3, 4, 4AY, 5 and 6 sometime in the future alongside XIII, XIII-2 and XIII LR either via Squareenix online store or Amazon. Cant see the Steam store discounting any of these anytime soon.

Weird... Perhaps Christmas sale?
