It's a simple question folks: would you like a new Dead Rising game?

Dead Rising is probably one of my favourite franchises ever done. They're funny, entertaining, sadistic and have some (while absurd) interesting plots given that they're zombie games. There's been this rumor regarding the fiscal year of Capcom that a new DR might be coming, given that it is named in the report, so there's some hope.

If yes, what would you like to feature? Same old characters? New ones? An even bigger map or back to the small casino/mall? What would you add, what would you remove? Likewise, if you say not, why not? Did you hate the originals? Do you think zombie games should not exist? pls explain!

I'd definitively love a new entry, given how Dead Rising 3 left me with a bitter taste (it's their chance to repair the damage done). They made some questionable decisions that, while I respect, I can understand why Inafune was left saying "this is not how I would have done it". I'm one of those that loved the first, and loved the second (even loved Off the Record, which was a re-sking of the second one tbh, aside from the final plot twist). I even liked that Wii monstruosity, Chop till you Drop, that swapped Dead Rising for ResidentEvil4'ising, but an excuse to play more Dead Rising is fine by me.

One thing I'd love is to see Frank again, even if it's just a small cameo. I know the dude must be in his 60's at this point, but if Solid Snake could have a whole game (the fourth Solid numbered entry, coincidentally!) with him being an old geezer, why not Frank? Also, bring the camera back. Everytime we make a step forward (camera present in the original one, Off the Record and Case West), they make a step backwards (camera absent in 2, Chop till you Drop and 3). You don't have to be a photographer to use a camera, y'know.

What about you, guys?

Yes. DR3 was my first next gen game and I enjoyed it.

Dead Rising 1 to PC along with the Dead Rising 2 expansion DLCs.

Dont even care for DR4 :P

So, wouldn't you prefer DR1 + DR2 expansions + DR4? Why leave a new game out?

Dead Rising is a fun series so any new entry is always welcomed.

According to this article, a sequel could be  in development. http://wccftech.com/dead-rising-devil-cry-titles-capcoms-main-pipeline/

I just ordered Dead Rising 3 on amazon, Ill let you know in a few days lol.

Not a fan. One of my least favorite Capcom franchises.

I did not like 1 and 2. I will play 3 if it ever comes to PS4. People seem to enjoy it so I would not mind if a 4th one was announced

I enjoyed DR3 to an extent but I sort of forgot about it after I finished the game. I think the idea of having a large environment with thousands of zombies on screen along with a bunch of ridiculous weapons to take them all out is awesome but I feel like in the end the game lacked substance. I'd like to see the overworld fleshed out more in future games and maybe a bit more distractions to shake up the gameplay a bit.
