Did you update your PS3?

Yes and I'm crying on th... 6 100.00%

That's right! The superior version of Tales of Vesperia is finally going to have it's fan translation completed! This project started back in 2011, the reason being that the PS3 version of Vesperia has an added character and Flynn as a party member and more stuff which I'm not going to list, which makes it the "complete" version of the game.

Namco never did a translation because they don't like money so these guys did it for them! This patch however doesn't work with a pirated copy of the game, you need to have the original japanese game (they link you to a website where you can buy the game though) and a PS3 with a very old firmware to use their program.

It's unconvenient but that's how it works, I was going to do this but I updated my PS3 before I even knew about this translation.

So here you have guys (there is still a month before it releases!): http://talesofvesperia.net/

Enjoy it! Or suffer in a corner because you updated your PS3...

Well, I'm gonna grab a Japanese copy either way if they never announce an English version. A translated patch I'd be down with too : )

Can you do this by normal means or do you need to jailbreak your PS3? I wondered about it but I'm too scared to lose my only PS3...

if i recall correctly the playstation website holds a copy of each firmalware version the PS3, PSP, PSVITA and PS4 has so just download it, save it on a usb, put it on youre PS3 and manually restore or update the firmware

My all time favorite Tales game.

Unfortunately, Jailbreak is the only way.

Nope, that's not the way.

From what i know, you need a downgrader for ps3 fat and slim, and a dongle for the superslim. Not as simple as downloading older firmware and update your ps3.

You can always wait a few years and grab a 360 when it's like 100 pesos. :P
