While the Year of Luigi may be over, the man in green isn’t finished quite yet. Luigi’s Mansion is getting an arcade port in Japan which is being tested at select locations.

Interestingly, the machines seem to have been developed by Capcom who, while they haven’t worked on the Luigi’s Mansion series before, have been known to collaborate with Nintendo on other titles, such as the Legend of Zelda series.

We don’t know much about the game yet, such as whether or not it’s a port of another Luigi’s Mansion game, or it’s a standalone title. There’s also not much known about the story or gameplay. It does appear though that you have to enter an enclosed space to play.

There are some suggestions that this might be a starting point for a Wii U Luigi’s Mansion game. But, as per usual, nothing has been confirmed.

So much for the year of Luigi. Besides one game what else did they give him?

Are you sure you're feeling alright? He had more than one game that year. 

You know what. This is highlight of the day for me. I had been holding off playing Luigi's Mansion 2 due to the Wii U HD port rumours. But with this new found information, it would seem the Wii U will get a port of the Arcade game/a similar title. So I guess I might as well just crack on with the 3DS one, once I've cleared my Vita backlog in 2018.

But More Luigi's Mansion is always welcome by me. It was my favourite GC launch title, and I think it was better than Mario Sunshine and a fair few other high profile GCN titles.
