So i have adblock  and ad block pro (redundency just because) installed on my laptap for google chrome. and they block ads, like they are designed to do.

but when i use chrome on my android phone (galaxy s4) ads pop up all the time. why dont the ad blockers work? is there a way to block ads for my phone?

On my iPhone I can do it in the settings for Safari. Maybe you can do something similar on Android?

I have an S4 too and I downloaded adblock but it was useless.

Man, that title mislead me. I'll try using a phone soon, I want to see how bad it is...

I use Firefox on Android with Bluhell Firewall. It seems to work ok for blocking ads in the browser.

I haven't figured out a way to block ads in apps though... I think there is a paid version of Adblock that is supposed to work, (but I have no plans to connect the google account I was forced to set up on my phone to any kind of money source) alternatively you would have to root your phone.
