Really liked the main game, DLC was really bad imo.

Didnt bother Mad Moxxi's DLC cause you know...enemies too OP for my level >.>. |
W/e the one with the arena was, don't remember the name, has got to be one of the worst DLC I have ever played. The misisons in the rest just didn't interest me, for the most part they were go find 10 of this then 15 of this then 12 of this.

Borderlands was a solid 8.5 for me and one of my favorite games of the generation. I LOVE the loot whoring style of gameplay. Nothing like running across a legendary gun that's exactly what you need. Love the humor in the series, too, and how it doesn't take itself super seriously. It also had some excellent DLC. Unlike most FPS games, you can keep going back and having fun.
A lot of your Cons are issues that other people mentioned when the game came out and which Gearbox addressed in Borderlands 2.
Cons
-Storyline is a bit generic mainly the main campaign MUCH better story in BL2.
-Environment does not change often and is usually bland at times Gearbox made a big point of adding in different environments in BL2.
-Amount of characters in a large world makes the world all too barren and somewhat boring BL2 has a lot more characters, both returning and new.

Good that you gave it a replay value of 10/10 because I started playing it again just 2 days ago after I haven't touched it since a few weeks after release. Just a very lovely game though I'm highly anticipating the next game because the graphics are not that much to look at anymore.

I'm not a DLC person. I blasted through the game when it first came out and played it through with 3 characters. After that I'm usually done with a game. I didn't even care for the Tiny Tina DLC even though I can't get enough of her.
I've come around again after I recommended it to a colleague of mine. Got the GOTY and spending every second with it. Can't wait to get to the DLC and playing both new classes. Mechromancer seems a bit OP so far.
What I want for the next game is more coop with NPCs. Also I really need some higher res textures. Other than that they can leave everything else :)
edit: just realized this thread is about Borderlands 1, not 2. Nevermind then. But what I said can be applied to both because I replayed Borderlands 1 as well long after I was finished with it.

I need to go back and play the first one again. It's been so long. Of course, since you can kind of cheat by using the DLC, it would be a lot easier. I did that when I started a NG+.
Oh, and BL2 makes it so that you can pass a few weapons between characters, which is a HUGE improvement.
