Here is the gameplay footage. It looked awesome back in last gen. Its an inspiring (?) game that still has influence (!) over many present and upcoming games.

Dont really like the combat in the Capcom game. Its to ladida. And not brutal enough. It makes the roman era seem like the Star trek era. Pew pew.
But If this inspired Crytek then Im very happy.
Seems Cryteks is more fantasy based than this though.
It does indeed look very good for a PS2 game oO

Comparing Shadow of Rome to Ryse is insulting to Capcom. Capcom sure knew how to make good games back in the day. Except for those god awful Octavius stealth sequences. What was up with last gen and forced stealth sequences.
