Lol that's messed up, I might get it if it drops to like $20.  Btw did they say if the DLC is coming on a disc like the first Borderlands GOTY or a code to download it?

Well, honestly, I think that's fair. Borderlands 2 has more DLC than most other games. It's even coming with Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, which just released not long ago. I don't see the problem. I'm pretty sure that it comes with more DLC than the Borderlands (1) GOTY Edition. Including the first four DLC seems to be kind of the industry standard.

Granted, I don't see anything on the order of The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, but very few DLC can measure up to that.

Yep.  I've thought about buying the PC version when it's super cheap just for the DLC sales.

Of course.  Who doesn't have Steam?  :o

Usually, with games that have a lot of DLC, I like to buy on PC and then wait for the Steam sales at the end of the year.  I got the first Borderlands on PS3, though, so I felt like I needed to buy Borderlands 2 on there, as well.

The game was $11 on Steam Summer Sale

The Season Pass was $11 on Steam Summer Sale

The Mechromancer DLC was $2.50 on Steam Summer Sale

The Psychopack DLC was $2.50 on Steam summer sale

Less than $30.

Also if you buy them at full price - its $50.

So you will be paying $10 more for the GOTY edition n_n (I think).

Basil, I don't look at steam summer sales lol. My computer wouldn't even be able to run a game like borderlands, it has prob running mincraft on the highest setting.

Oh, well - isnt Borderlands 2 Retail, with the season pass DLC and the Psycho/Mechromancer pack about $50 :O?

The game can be bought new from gs for $20 and season pass is $30. Psycho/Mech, not sure.

edit psycho is $10 normally, oh and so is mech so $20 in all.

Pokota03 is my Steam name.  That's what it should be here, too, but VGC glitched somehow and wouldn't let me validate it.

Were you really counting on the GOTY edition?  Personally, I like buying DLC separate, so I can pick and chose the best.  I rarely buy it all.   I only got the Armory and Revolution DLC with the first game.  I think the level cap upgrades were free with it, though ...

I have made peace (no choice really) with this "release a game, bunch of DLC then 12-24 months later a definitive version is released with DLC" practice.

So, now if you do this, at least wait until you're done with add on content, otherwise I expect an "Ultimate Edition" in 2014.
