Nothing much to tell here.
Diablo III is coming to the "next generation" in 2014 and to clarify that "next generation" mean ONLY PS4. The Team behind the port never received the Xbone DevKits so they never worked or announced a Xbone version.
And about the 2014 released (and not 2013 like PS360):
"We thought that it’s really important we stagger development, so that we focus first on the PC, then to focus on current-gen and then – now that that’s done – we’re really looking at how to make it to the next-gen. Always making sure we’re making the right decisions to make each of the platforms really take advantage of what makes those platforms unique and special."
And they liked the PS4 controller like all the other devs
"The thing that’s exciting for [the PS4] is the controller.
Control is king.
When you flick the right stick [on the DualShock] your character actually performs a dodge move that is unique to the console.
We think the touch pad’s gonna give us a lot more opportunity to make that [Diablo] interface a lot easier.
What we didn’t want to do is simplify the experience.
You can just press up on the d-pad and quickly cycle through the items you’ve recently picked up."
So they finally explained that when they talked about "next generation" version they are talking about PS4 only and no announcements regarding an Xbox One version of Diablo III were made.
