I finished the game last night and I'm not going to comment on it for fear of spoilers however, I will say I was blown away by this game. It is honestly my favorite game of this entire generation, and despite the masses claiming the multiplayer is lackluster, I love it, I'm a monster with the hunting rifle and with first aid training level 2 my teammates never die.
Now on to the topic at hand, based on the ending I don't think Naughty Dog will elaborate on that ending, I think that is how they want it to end. Naughty Dog however has confirmed that there will be 1 singleplayer DLC and 2 multiplayer DLC.
I firmly believe that the singleplayer DLC will not explore the end of The Last of Us, but the beginning. What happened after the prologue? How did Tommy and Joel have their falling out, how did Joel meet Tess. I fell like that may be a disappointment to many, but I'd like to hear more, it's pretty clear throughout the game that Joel is no hero, he's a common man who had to become selfish to survive, morals are a thing of the past in a world like this.
There's also the possibility that instead of Joel, we are put into the shoes of another character, perhaps we are Tommy, and we see how he survived and how his path crossed again with Joel.
Those are just ideas I'm throwing out there and none of them are rumored so take those with a grain of salt. I do, however, have one rumor about the DLC, the multiplayer DLC. It seems that there will be some kind of co-op mode released in the same vain as Horde mode and Nazi Zombies mode.
I for one am excited for that mode as I was a bit disappointed that the Infected aren't in multiplayer in any shape or form as of yet and if they are in the Horde-type mode I will never stop playing it.
Thoughts? Concerns? Feelings? Penthouse forum confessions?
