Forums - Sony - The Last of Us Intro, watch this if you are still on the fence

Like wow WTF, I was so right to be on media blackout for this game, it made it so much better, and if you still don't have it, this intro might just change your mind, ND really knows WTF they are doing!

I was on the fence about getting the game (as crazy as it sounds). I went out to gamestop and bought it in a thunderstorm. $60 becomes a bigger investment when you have to start buying things for yourself, especially in a thunderstorm. After watching the intro of the game, I knew it was all gonna be worth it. I'm 2.5 hours in, and I've never felt this way playing another game before. It's truly a unique experience.

it certainly is. i know what you are talking about. my friends want to go out and i just dont want to, i really want to play this game. they are all pist at me because the last couple of days i wasnt in touch with them. it gets better the more you play. its becoming one of my all time favorites

When I was playing the first time, finished the intro and the title screen came up, I hit pause. My jaw was wide open, my eyes a bit welled up (must have been dusty...ahem), and I had to take a minute to collect before continuing. It's incredible how Naughty Dog, in 15 minutes, was able to make me care about these characters that much.

Crazy game so far... Started playing it last night and was quite impressed.

This game is awesome, I not a big fan of Multiplayer in general, but Last of us Multi is awesomely nailed, its fast and the same time slow.

They really nailed the single player sentiment into the multi it is awesome.

This pushes me further from the fence. I hate when games do this, for me and bit of text and into gameplay is good for me. I just struggled to finish Alan Wake skipping through 70% of the cutscenenes and story just so I can get back to playing a video game. At least TLOU seems to have great combat of which I thought AW's blew. 15 minutes and not a second of meaningful gameplay is unacceptable for me.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

this is just the intro. the rest of the game isnt like that. you have cut scenes yeah, but a lot of the story actually progresses while playing.

Its not just cutscenes but also shit like playing as the kid walking around groggy looking at newspapers and shit. I remember in AW scenes walking around and turning on a coffee machine on and blabbing with his wife about stuff. I cant deal with it.
