I could see it at least spurting out one more game but if that doesn't do at least average then I'm pretty sure the series will be dead. It's good to see that #4 is a newer game though, that could mean that this game just wasn't released at the best time? Or maybe it has really, really poor marketing?

The developers took a piss on their fanbase, to put it mildly. That's the death knell for any series that isn't particularly popular to begin with. Ninja Gaiden was dependent on its following, but the developers decided that they can do what they want.

Then I guess it's dead. Unless they really prove that they have another game that's really good, other than that "pissing" on your fanbase would be the worst thing to do.

They shouldn't have abandoned both fanbases - Xbox fans counted on this series to hype as exclusive, and PS3 fans got to hype up the "exclusive" improved version later - now nobody gets to hype it and the reviewers actually have to play it.

Ninja Gaiden (2004) - one of the greatest games of all time. Black and Sigma only made it more awesome

Ninja Gaiden II - a very disappointing sequel.

Ninja Gaiden III - I haven't played it, and I don't think I ever will.

No, because its Tecmo they wont give up on it.

Sigma one and 2 did better then i thought they did. i hope they return it to what it was before, cause 3 is a disappointment, and i don't have to play it to know that.

So you are saying that they do not really have many other options, so they will most likely try again. Dead or Alive, Dynastywarriors, and Monster Rancher are not really cutting it either for them.

What's Monster Rancher?

What happened to part 2 that made it horrible?

I just didn't enjoy it. It was too linear, most of the chapters were far too long, the difficulty was all over the place, there were only a few good boss battles, and the minions were mostly bland. Ninja Gaiden was very difficult, but I loved it enough to want to master it. I just didn't that same passion (or patience) for Ninja Gaiden II.

Guys, there's no need to worry. The next Ninja Gaiden game will be called Devil's Third.

Used to be a fun WB cartoon that came on Saturday mornings. Also Seemed to be a pretty popular PS game back in the day. Not as popular as Digimon, which was not as popular as Pokemon back then.

For some reason I remember EGM giving it decent reviews as well.

LOL! Is Digimon even around anymore? I haven't heard of it in forever!
