Refined eyes will spot beauty. They will see a triumph of modern landscape art, hiding in the background of a big action blockbuster.

Watch these scenes of natural disaster, captured by us from the new downloadable map pack "Forces of Nature," which was released for Gears of War 3 today. The setting is the Earth-like planet of Sera, wracked by the angry elements.

Ugg after finishing the game a couple of days ago I thought its look got so banal until the final chapters were they added color. Really, I know gears is supposed to look ugly and beat-down, miserable, end of the world type, but that last colorful part on the island hotel actually briefly made the game look good. Otherwise, I could hardly distinguish between the 3 games of the series. Shame really.

Truly, a game of equality.

No shade of brown is left behind, no hue of poop is unloved. Every mud stain and shit smear that has ever existed is given a place to call home.
