For me Halo 2 took Multiplayer to new heights. Without a doubt Halo 2 was the grounded base where all console online shooters were formed from. The single player and story were also great. The problem is it gets a 9 and not 10 from me because the game slouched a little in the middle. The arbiteur was fine and I thought added a new dimension. But the pacing knocked off after New Mombasa, and didnt pick up till Killing the Prophet. Still it was better than almost every other single player shooter at the time. And multiplayer would get a 10 on it's own.

I'm going with 9/10 for this one. I really enjoyed the dual wielding and enhanced MP component to Halo 2 but the atmosphere and grandeur of the single player was shadowed by the first due to being all over the place (playing back and forth between two characters, a really loose explanation for Grave Mind, the Covenant randomly speaking English, etc.). Plus they gimped my precious pistol!

Despite all that the gameplay was solid and fun.

This game was a big improvement over the first but there were just some things that stopped it from being great to me. I really couldnt enjoy the multiplayer as much as i could... my friends would want to play split screen at their house and i'd reluctantly agree but i did manage to eek some fun out 7/10 2 more points then its predecessor

My personal favorite of the series.

The single player was fun and had an interesting story. But, the online multi-player was were most of the fun was at. I played this game almost everyday for 3 years and still had fun every time i played.
