Dragon Dogma or Tales of Zestiria

in Gaming Discussion on 19 June 2016

If for one reason to play Dragon's Dogma over Tales of Zestiria, Dragon's Dogma doesn't have the constant camera issues that Zestiria has. A problem that becomes worst for Zestiria when you fight in narrow corridors. If it was partly the clambering in the coming Zelda that got you excited, I found the climbing in Dragon's Dogma to work well. Although you can't climb trees, walls and cliff faces....

Aonuma's opinion about the wii u gamepad.

in Nintendo Discussion on 17 June 2016

If looking back and forth from the screen is such a problem, I wonder why he's also against using it in ways that don't require such action. Such as just using the touch function to do what the d-pad either already does or improving over the d-pad's capability. To me, games using the d-pad should've dedicated the upper right corner of the screen for such use. Personally, I think one of biggest...

    Bioshock Infinite vs Alan Wake

in Gaming Discussion on 07 September 2014

If you are coming to BioShock Infinite with BioShock 1 in mind, you might finish the game disappointed. The non-wrench weapons felt a lot better to use, unfortunately you're limited to using only two at the same time. You're limited two spells at the same time as well. Despite the better feeling weapons, I quickly became bored by the combat segments. Compared to Bioshock 1, I got the sensation of...

Which upcoming zombie game looks better?

in Gaming Discussion on 12 August 2014

Both look good to me. Excited about the parkour and grappling hook in Dying Light, but the small gameplay trailer they released for Dead Island 2 has me equally interested. In regards to their aesthetics, neither particularly disappoints me. I find the art style in Escape Dead Island appealing as well....

Should the next Nintendo handheld console have the 3D element?

in Nintendo Discussion on 03 August 2014

I less think they should, but would love if they did. Would absolutely pay a premium price if they would go with a cheaper 2D model and a more expensive 3D model from the start as has been suggested before....

Star Fox Assault stage revealed for Smash! Opinions on the game..

in Nintendo Discussion on 24 July 2014

I really liked the multiplayer. Mostly due to me wanting a greater focus on ground combat after unlocking the option in the Star Fox 64 multiplayer. The ability to jump in and out vehicles was a much enjoyed bonus. As far as the single player campaign went, it was enjoyable. Just not in the same way as Star Fox 64....

Etrian Odyssey IV or Untold The millennium girl?

in Nintendo Discussion on 15 July 2014

Unless you're possessed by a desire to complete all games in a series, I'd recommend getting Etrian Odyssey IV. Generally found IV more balanced in skill layout. The ability to customize equipment is another point I'd give IV....

If Microsoft made a game like Smash Bros, what characters/levels would be included?

in Microsoft Discussion on 15 July 2014

I think they could easily fill a roster of about 20 to 30 characters without relying heavily on characters from third-party studios. They'd just have to ignore popularity and relevance, as well as dip a lot of times into one game. With Rare's contribution, one could easily come up with half that. Conker Banjo&Kazooie One of the heroes from Jet Force Gemini Kameo Joanna Dark Hero from Grabbed...

Would you want an "open world" Mario game? (Updated OP for elaboration.)

in Nintendo Discussion on 03 July 2014

Have to express similar sentiment towards not being enthused by the idea of an open world Mario game. Mainly because I greatly prefer the side-scrolling Marios and 3D world to the Marios from 64 to Galaxy 2, due to the generally shorter levels and smaller spaces of the non-mainline Marios. The idea of collecting stars and coins doesn't interest me, whether it be because I can or for kart...

Who out of the big three won E3?

in Gaming Discussion on 10 June 2014

Where's the three-way tie option. I would vote all since they each displayed multiple games I would buy. Well, interested in at least. (Can't wait to see some in-game footage of Scaleboud)...

Dead Island Riptide sequal to hit current gen?

Wave Race, 1080 or Piltowings for Wii U.

in Nintendo Discussion on 23 March 2014

Difficult choice since I desire all three, but I'd be interested in Pilotwings if they were to make it an aerial racer ; making up for the absence of Diddy Kong Racing in a way. Although, combining all three into a multi-terrain racer would be even more appealing to me....

Why People Says "PS4 Has No Games"? (+33 Games, +10 Genres, Strong, Diverse, etc)

in Gaming Discussion on 19 January 2014

Your answer can be found when you rephrase the statement as, "The Ps4 has no games that interest me." When someone says that about the PS4 or any other platform, they generally mean that or that there are too few games to consider spending any amount on a console. For me, taking a look at that list reveals nothing that I desire enough to purchase a console for. The only games announced for...

alan wake on PC, is it any good?

in PC Discussion on 18 October 2013

I'd say it's just as good as the 360 version was. The only thing of note to me, is that the difficulty settings are changed from the console version. PC Normal is 360 Hard and the other two difficulties follow in accord, which only means enemies may take three instead of two shots to kill....

Final Fantasy XII was released before it would have been accepted by the FF fanbase.

in Gaming Discussion on 19 July 2013

Galvanizer said: Vaan is probably the best written character in a JRPG. the fact you dislike him is a testament to that.   Vaan didn't influence my opinion of Final Fantasy XII to the extent that he ruined the game for me on any level, I just didn't care that he was there. Basch and Ashe, as well as Balthier and Fran, resonated with me more. Also, why is it a good thing that...

Final Fantasy XII was released before it would have been accepted by the FF fanbase.

in Gaming Discussion on 19 July 2013

In the sense that it was ahead of its time due to the acceptance of games such as Xenoblade and Ni no Kuni, I agree. As far being the savior of Jrpgs, I don't see that being more likely than I would've seen with White Knight Chronicles or Magna Carta 3. It's one of my least loved of the Final Fantasy series due to me thinking that turnbased combat with active movement would be more fun with a...

If Japanese developers started making RPGs like Skyrim or Fallout...

in Gaming Discussion on 17 July 2013

They'd be JRPGs still. The existence of both JRPG and WRPG, seems only a reality due to the arrival of most Western developed RPGs unto consoles. I think the distinction results from factions of people probably unintentionally assuming Western Rpgs are action-rpgs and that Japanese Rpgs are turn-based rpgs. At least that's a thought I arrive at when people suggest that Dark Souls isn't a JRPG;...
