The first new entry in this year's list, Night in the Woods really impressed me. I went into the game not knowing what to expect, and my first impressions were "wow, this music is great" and "wow, this writing is REALLY good". Those two thoughts carried over pretty much throughout the whole experience. The game is basically a glorified visual novel, and it's about themes I'm not too into, but the writing was so good it was impossible not to relate. I've made a few "mistakes" in my run which meant I never got to see many optional scenes, so I do plan on replaying this one (twice) to see all the story has to offer, and from then on, this really could go anywhere in future top 50 lists. Either way though, Gregg rulz.
