ANNOUNCEMENT - Bracket Predictions Notice
Only one week left to get your bracket predictions in (or change them if you have already submitted before). The deadline is the kickoff time of the season opener Houston at Kansas City.
The NFL has changed its playoff format, starting with the 2020 season. There will be an additional playoff team in each conference, so a total of six wild-card teams instead of only four like before. Only the first seed of each conference will enjoy a bye week during wild-card weekend from now on. The matchups in the wild-card round are 2nd seed vs. 7th seed, 3rd vs. 6th and 4th vs. 5th. Divisional playoffs are highest remaining seed vs. lowest remaining seed.
I've adjusted the scoring system for the bracket predictions to arrive at exactly 100 points again. Changes that were made:
1. Division winners are now 2 points each, previously only 1.
2. AFC and NFC playoff teams are now 1 point each, previously 2. The extra point for each correctly predicted seed remains the same.
@PAOerfulone You'll have to work on your bracket again to include a seventh team in each conference.
