The biggest frustration I have with the Xbox One UI/OS is how god damn long it takes for the console to load 1,000~ titles into the "my games category".

Having to rebuild my games database every time I turn the machine on is pretty unnecessary and a waste of my time, I would rather there was a "check" every time you tried to launch a game, rather than every time I turn the system on.

Games with Gold is pretty mediocre this month, missed opportunity by not throwing Ori and the Blind Forest as a title in my opinion, is what it is though.

Sounds like you don't use the Instant-On feature.

Certainly don't.
It's a waste of electricity, I can be away for weeks at a time for rescue deployments, so everything gets switched off at the wall.

And the console was prone to redownloading entire games, rather than just patch data, plus there was the odd glitch here and there where games wouldn't boot requiring a hard reset anyway.

Doesn't mean that it needs to rebuild the game database every time the console gets switched on though.

Man, Ori looks so fucking good. Can't wait.

Definitely one of the shining points of the Xbox One games library this generation, that's for sure.
