Forums - Gaming Discussion - CoD4 is busted

I have a great internet connection, i get 1mb/sec over the PSN when downloading, i doubt you can say the same. If you doubt there is any lag at all watch the video of when you get killed in a up close match most time the guy is off by a a foot from where you saw him.

I don't understand why some of you guys are still going on about PSN being free, this has nothing to do with Sony, IW does all the crap for their online play. I played about RFOM to death and never had any of these connection issues.

CoD4 also has many bugs online, with the other team being able to hear your conversation during a game, sometimes the game does not even allow you to talk to your team mates. It breaks up parties and kicks people out of the lobby and ends it for no reason.

Anyone in the CoD4 Beta already knew how great the Xbox 360 version was on line. I am surprised that anyone who owns both the PS3 and the Xbox 360 would have purchased the PS3 version. As for why the Xbox 360 version is better, just wait until the sales numbers come out and there lies the answer.

The xbox360 has been out longer and more people have a 360-thats y the xbox360 will have more sales! divide by 2 your 360 sales versus ps3 sales and you'll c how close it will B!! driven2excell(PN ID)

It's the responsebility of IW, has nothing to do with PSN being free or not. It's not like all 360 games run great online, just look at TF2.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Dont spin things. I own both systems, had the beta on the 360, and own the PS3 version.

For me it is simple- harware relyability. There are many reasons people may pick the PS3 version over the 360 version, this has been well documented. Whether they are right or wrong is just a matter of opinion.

I have to restate that this game works beautifully on the PS3. In response to some minor glitches or problems- the only thing I have noticed is that a game will end when a host leaves. The servers were down once but only for a short amount of time. Other than that, I think it works very very well.

@ Griffin: Could the problem be with your wireless router?

I could almost never connect when playing COD3 because of the wireless specifications with the router that I have.

I agree. The connection quality suffer automaticly if you use a wireless router, except if the PS3 is very close of it but in that case why not use a cable.

Infinity Ward is fixing online for the PS3 version. They're just upping the server load, as they didn't anticipate so many getting on so soon.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
