Forums - Nintendo Discussion - 2 questions about Wii: Pointer offset + latency

Yes, I'm in EU, maybe that's the reason for the bad Virtual Console performance, too. I heard there are some problems with PAL VC games, don't remember exactly. When I played Super Mario World on a friend's Wii some months ago, I noticed the same. It's clearly less responsive than on the original systems.

AFAIK there should be no interfering radio / bluetooth devices in our living room. I'll give it a try with the GameCube controller later.

Thanks for the hint regarding save games!

My TV is a LG 32LC2R (HDTV). Haven't tried a lot of games yet, but I especially noticed the jaggies in Super Mario Galaxy. Maybe I should have a look at the TV settings.

Currently playing: NSMB (Wii)

Waiting for: Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii), The Last Story (Wii), Golden Sun (DS), Portal 2 (Wii? or OSX), Metroid: Other M (Wii),
... and of course Zelda (Wii)

About saved games, I think the rep is required to tell you to save them to an SD card prior to sending the system out, at least it's what the rep told me. I have a tendency of chatting with them a bit lol Still good to know beforehand though. About responsiveness, if the Wii is having errors it could be internal in the faulty Wii itself, when you get one repaired that could possibly clear it up. About Super Mario Galaxy there's some jaggies without a doubt, because your stretching a 480p picture for a 720p+ set it never really got so bad that it bothered me though.... If you can get an external scaler it'd be nice but those are pretty costly.. While I'm on that anybody know if I got a up-converting DVD player with component in and HDMI would it scale whatever is coming in through the component or no?
